Do my family members' keepsake urns have to match?

Asked 3 years ago

My mom recently passed on, and we decided to have her cremated. I want some of her cremains stored in our family columbarium and others sent to my siblings outside the country. I've been looking at keepsake urns, and I know my siblings have different tastes and are unsure what design would be most appealing. Should they match?

This is an entirely personal decision. There is no hard and fast rule that says the urns need to match. If you feel that it would be better for each sibling to receive an urn that would resonate with them, then you can absolutely choose a keepsake urn based on each of their tastes.
