Can you share the ashes of a loved one?

Asked 3 years ago

Hi, is it a good idea to split the ashes of a loved one amongst family?

Dividing the ashes after the cremation is a fairly common practice and can be a great way to help each family member remember, honor, and grieve their loved one in their own special way. Splitting the ashes can also help avoid any conflict and settle disagreements between family members.

Dividing ashes after cremation is very possible through the use of a keepsake urn. Keepsake urns are much smaller than standard urns and are also known as sharing urns. These allow family members to split the ashes so that everyone can grieve in their own way and conflict can be avoided.
