Where would be a good place to display an extra-large urn?

My dad was a very tall and large man, and when we had him cremated, we found that we needed an extra-large sized urn for his ashes. My mom really wants to keep his urn out on display so we can keep him in our thoughts. This is a great idea, but we are battling to find the right place to display the urn. There is no mantelpiece at my mom's house, and the large urn doesn't fit well in her display cabinet. Can anyone give us some ideas of where else my father's cremation urn can be kept? All suggestions are welcome.
