Is it better to buy an urn from a funeral home or online?

My father just passed and I have the terrible task of planning his funeral. This is the first time I've ever had to deal with ashes and I've never even thought about buying an urn before. I know that people always bought cremation urns from funeral homes in the past, but now there are many choices available online. Can anyone tell me what the better option is: to buy the urn from a funeral home or online? Thanks.

If you buy an urn online, you are likely to have more choices regarding design, shape, and style. Often online urns are more affordable than funeral home urns and you might even be able to find a sale. However, sometimes it can be nice to see the product in-person to ensure its size and design.
