What is the symbolism behind a purple urn?
Asked 4 years ago
I've heard that the color purple represents respect and admiration, so I thought I could get a purple urn for my grandmother's ashes. I'm not sure if this is really true though. Does anyone know what the symbolism behind a purple urn is? Am I even close?

Purple is royal. It’s elaborate, full of the trappings of majesty and ceremony. Purple is also a color associated with luxury, spirituality, and the supernatural. Purple is said to represent transformation. Purple is a mixture of the calm stability of the colour blue and of the fierce energy and strength of the colour red.
