What happens if an urn is too big for a pet's ashes?
Asked 4 years ago
After my Yorkie was cremated, I found the nicest urn for his ashes. What I didn't realize at the time was that the urn I bought was meant for large dog breeds. I'm not sure what should happen now that I see the urn is much too big for his ashes. Should I leave it as it is, or can I add something to it to increase the volume? I was thinking maybe sand or ash from burnt wood? Can I please get some advice on this? Much appreciated.

There are urns available in different sizes depending on the weight of your deceased pet. Sizes range from small to larger sizes such as the one you currently have. You could purchase a smaller urn and simply transfer the ashes to the smaller urn as needed.
