What is used to permanently seal a brass urn for burial?

Asked 3 years ago

Good evening, my little sister passed away, and I've been looking for a brass burial urn to put her cremains in before holding the funeral. It occurred to me that I didn't know how to seal these things. What will happen if the burial urn falls over? Does brass need special adhesives to permanently seal an urn for burial?

I'm so sorry to hear that. Most urns come with a secure, threaded lid to hold the top in place. However, it's better to be safe and seal the urn. To create a permanent seal, you can simply add a small amount of clear silicone epoxy or metal glue to the thread before closing the lid.
