Is it good to place plants near my pet's display urn?

My dog recently died as a result of breathing issues. My wife is remodeling our living room and wants to replace the urn display case for our dog. I suggested incorporating some indoor plants to help balance and purify the air in the room. We're unsure whether plants should be placed there. Is it inappropriate to keep plants near a pet urn?

Placing plants near a pet urn is not inappropriate and is entirely up to you how you design your living room. Plants, in this case, could have a beautiful symbolic meaning in that the life of your beloved dog lives on through the indoor plants surrounding it.
