What size urn do I need for the ashes of an adult female?
Asked 3 years ago
I'm unsure of what size urn to get for my recently deceased older sister. I think she weighed about 170lbs. Can anyone offer any advice? Thanks.

The standard size of an adult urn is 200 cubic inches. The general rule is you need one cubic inch of space for every pound of body weight. For 170 pounds, you would need 170 cubic inches of urn space. But it is also advised to get an urn that is a little larger as well. Rather too big than too small.
