Are stainless steel urns suitable for displaying cremains in a humid environment?
Asked 3 years ago
My brother passed away recently, and his final wish was to be cremated and rest in our family columbarium. He chose a lovely stainless steel urn design. Our town, however, gets a lot of rain, and I'm worried that the humidity will damage the urn over time. Is stainless steel the best option here?

It is important that you store a stainless steel urn in a dry, safe location that is not directly exposed to sunlight. This is because extreme heat from the sun can cause its shape to deform, or become warped overtime. However, as long as the urn is in the columbarium away from the elements, it will be fine.
