I have heard that some people don't believe in cremation because it can cause paranormal activity. Do any major religions believe this?

There are no major religions that prohibit cremation for this reason. The reason they do not allow cremation is because these religions believe cremation is a violation of the dignity of the human body, or cremation is seen as a violent treatment of the body after death.
