Does the weight of my baby matter when choosing an urn size?
Asked 3 years ago
My seven-day-old baby girl passed on due to breathing complications, and we settled to have her remains cremated. I've been looking for a suitable urn size and design for her memorial display. However, I'm anxious about picking the wrong urn size for her in my research. Does the weight of my baby matter in choosing a baby urn size?

I'm so sorry for this tragic time you're going through. A memorial display is a lovely idea. In general, for every one pound of body weight, you need one cubic inch of urn space. For example, if your baby weighed 6 pounds, you need an urn with 6 cubic inches. It's also recommended to get something a little larger for good measure.
