Is it cheaper to buy an urn online?

After the passing of my beloved wife of 43 years, I'm now trying to plan her cremation. There have been many unexpected costs along the way and the costs are mounting up. My daughter suggested I buy an urn online as it is more affordable. Will I be able to buy an urn for a cheaper price than from a shop or funeral home? Does anyone know what the average price of purchasing an urn online is? I'd appreciate any feedback.

One of the reasons people choose to buy urns online is because of the lower prices. Online urn prices run about 50-70% less than the prices in the funeral home. The average cost of the Trupoint Memorial urns is between $80 and $150 for a standard-sized adult urn. You might also be able to find a sale online.
