Ferrous metals have a high strength-to-weight ratio and are high-quality and tough materials. They are also recyclable and eco-friendly. However, ferrous metals are vulnerable to rust when they are exposed to the elements due to their high carbon content. This makes them less suitable for an above-ground urn vault as they may corrode.
