What type of urn is best for a niche cemetery?
Asked 4 years ago
Hi everyone, we decided to go with a columbarium instead of a headstone or keeping the urn in our home. The problem is that we're worried we buy a burial urn, and then it's too big for the niche. Does anyone know what size we should get?

The best cremation urns for niches are around 8.5 inches tall and more box-shaped. Most columbarium niches are between 9-12 inches big, but it will also all depend on the cemetery. Marble and stone urns are one of the better choices for columbarium urns because of their durability. Metal is also a good choice for the same reason.
