I want to get a picture of my father custom engraved on his below ground burial vault. Is this possible?

Yes, this is possible. Burial vaults made of marble or granite are some of the best for engraving photos because they produce an impressive contrast when engraved. Another option would be to engrave the photo on a brass or bronze plaque that can be attached to the front or side of the burial vault.
