Do I need to seal my pet's urn to make it watertight?

Asked 3 years ago

I'd like to have my cat's ashes cremated. My house is always humid because I live near the coast. If the remains are not in a moisture and watertight container, I'm concerned that the humidity will affect them. I've been looking for a pet urn that is moisture-resistant but have had no luck. Is it necessary to seal my pet's urn to be watertight?

There shouldn't be any need to seal the urn if the urn has a securely threaded lid. However, there is also no harm in sealing the urn with a metal glue or clear epoxy glue. You could also use plumbers tape to make sure it's extra sealed.
