Does the gender of my baby influence the volume of ashes left behind?
Asked 2 years ago
My son recently passed on after falling ill, and I wanted to get him cremated. My wife wants us to display his ashes in a memorial case in our living room to celebrate his short life with us. However, I'm unsure what urn size is appropriate for a boy. Does the gender of my baby determine how much ash will remain after cremation?

I'm so sorry to hear about this tragic loss. The gender of a baby doesn't affect what size urn you need, though. Urn size is typically measured by body weight. The general rule is 1 pound equals 1 cubic inch. That means if your baby boy was 15 pounds, you'll need an urn that is 15 cubic inches or larger.
