What should I do if there is no documentation of final wishes?

My family is busy planning and making arrangements for my aunt's funeral. However, she didn't leave behind any documentation of final wishes. What should we do?

If your aunt didn't leave a document for her final wishes, the laws in your state would determine who is responsible for making the funeral arrangements. The general order is spouse, children, parents, and next of kin. The best thing to do would be to think about what kind of person your aunt was and what she enjoyed, and plan according to that.
